Older pages, including an earlier version of this one, say FSD (Supervised) is not available in Australia. That is out of date. Tesla released FSD (Supervised) to eligible newer cars in Australia and New Zealand in September 2025. The referral did not follow: the Australian reward is still a cash amount, not an FSD trial and not Supercharging distance.
Availability: Model 3 and Model Y are sold in Australia in right-hand drive. FSD (Supervised) has been available on eligible newer cars since September 2025, but it isn't the referral reward here.

FBT exemption for eligible EVs
The headline Australian EV saving is the Fringe Benefits Tax exemption for eligible battery-EVs under the luxury-car-tax fuel-efficient threshold, when financed through a novated lease or provided as a work car. For many buyers this is worth thousands per year — far more than the referral discount.

State stamp-duty & registration perks
Several states have offered stamp-duty waivers, discounted registration or road-user-charge arrangements for EVs. These differ by state and have been changing, so check your state's transport authority for the current position.
Australia-specific notes before you order
- Read the line under your model. When Tesla's Australian referral page was checked on 4 October 2026, the A$350 sat under the Model 3. The Model Y was listed with no buyer benefit. If you are ordering a Model Y, don't count on A$350 unless your own order summary shows it.
- The A$350 comes off the car, not the drive-away extras. Your drive-away price also includes state on-road costs: stamp duty, registration and CTP insurance. Those vary by state and aren't touched by the referral, so compare the referral line, not the drive-away total.
- Check the address bar. The referral button on this page sends readers in Australia to Tesla's Australian site, so the address should begin
tesla.com/en_au/and prices should show in AUD. If you see another country's prices, close the tab and open the link again before you configure. - New Zealand is a separate country. Tesla runs a separate New Zealand referral page with its own figure (up to NZ$400 off when checked on 12 July 2026). An Australian link won't apply to a car registered in New Zealand, and the other way round.
- Owners are capped at ten a year. Tesla's Australian Refer and Earn terms (effective 22 August 2025) let an owner refer up to 10 orders per calendar year, and the order must be placed using the owner's referral link. You can't add a referral after the order is placed.
- FSD is here, but it isn't the reward. FSD (Supervised) reached eligible Australian cars in September 2025 (Not a Tesla App report). The US-style "3 months of FSD" referral doesn't apply in Australia. A page that promises it to Australian buyers is quoting the wrong country.
How to apply it at checkout in Australia
- Open the referral link first — it sends you to Tesla's Australia site with the benefit attached. Tesla can't add a referral after you order.
- Configure your Model 3 or Model Y in AUD.
- Confirm the reward — up to A$350 off — appears in the order summary before you place the order.

FSD is available in Australia now — why isn't the referral an FSD trial?
