FSD (Supervised) is approved in five EU countries, not the whole EU
The Netherlands, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark and Belgium — five dated national approvals, and the reason an EU-wide referral benefit shaped like a trial still does not exist.
Five EU member states switched on FSD (Supervised) in 2026, on five separate dates. That is not the same thing as EU-wide availability, and the distinction is the reason a European referral benefit shaped like a software trial still does not exist. Dated 2 September 2026.

Four of the five followed the Dutch approval rather than running independent processes, which is why they cluster inside eight weeks.
Why this matters to a referral
North America's referral benefit is a three-month FSD trial. A benefit shaped that way requires the software to be usable in the market, so these five approvals are the first places in the EU where such a benefit becomes technically possible.
It has not happened. The European referral reward remains Supercharging distance — roughly 2,000 km since April 2026 — in all of them.
The Dutch case is the one to watch
Because it is both first and largest of the five, and because Dutch cost-of-ownership changed in the same period: from 1 January 2026 bijtelling runs at 18% up to €30,000 (22% above) and the MRB discount was cut to 30%. Higher ownership costs make a charging reward proportionally more useful — which is an argument for the current reward rather than for switching to a trial.
What five approvals do not add up to
An EU-wide position. The June 2026 TCMV meeting was discussion-only, with the next window expected in October 2026 and EU-wide approval possibly slipping into 2027. Until then, "FSD is approved in Europe" is a sentence that is true of five countries and false of the continent.
The one thing all five share with every other market
The mechanics. A referral attaches when the order is placed, through the link, and cannot be added afterwards; one referral applies per transaction; the referrer is paid in Tesla Credits under a ten-per-calendar-year cap. Those hold in Amsterdam, Vilnius, Tallinn, Copenhagen and Brussels exactly as they hold in Austin — which is why this atlas separates the mechanics, learned once, from the reward, checked per country.
The reading for a buyer in one of the five
Your referral benefit is charging distance, not a trial, and it expires six months from the Grant Date. If you want FSD you subscribe to it — Europe moved to subscription-only on 22 May 2026 at €99 a month — and that decision is entirely separate from the referral.
The reading for everyone else in the EU
Nothing changed. Your country page carries your market's reward, and the approval map above is context for why it has the shape it does.
